2016 It's A New Year Of Hope
Our vision for 2016 is to reach even further than we have in previous years. It's not just about India, it's about reaching globally and meeting the needs of the at risk, desperate, challenged and hopeless. That is why we exist -- to give hope to the world. Can you imagine a world where there isn't any poverty? We can! Could you imagine a world where there are breakthroughs in medicine so we can vaccinate the sick in countries that don't have those resources? That future while it seems far away is possible, but it's going to take you and I to make it happen.
A Mom, A Baby And A Road.
In this moment I was able to see the hopelessness in the mother's eyes. Mom looked very malnourished. Her child was no better, if anything much worse off. When mom gave her baby that bottle I was able to see everything she was saying without her even saying one word. I've never witnessed hopelessness like that before, let alone experienced it. I've never been in a place in my life where I didn't think I could climb my way out or thought it would work out. I've always been the optimist and the hopeful one. When I saw a mother giving her crying baby girl a bottle full of water, I was able to see a mother that was trying to cherish her last precious moments together as painless as possible. She knew that they both didn't have much time. Their lives were probably coming to a close as mom wasn't able to work, produce milk or do anything that would better their situation. And as my cab drove past her and her baby girl my heart felt a pain it had never felt before.
We Got The Beds!
Something as simple as a bed is a great luxury to these children. Now they'll be able to get a good nights sleep with out back or neck problems, increasing their ability to learn and focus. You wouldn't think that getting a good nights sleep is as important as it is. But to these children it means the world.
Furniture Is Arriving
As you can see from the pictures our team has already began putting the beds and desks together as well as painting them. We can't even imagine what the children are thinking at this moment. Many if not most of their families wouldn't have been able to afford to send them to school let alone provide them a bed as nice as this. As great as this step is for the children this is only the beginning of the vision we have for India and the surrounding countries.

So much has happened already in such a sort period of time. Just in this past year alone we were able to witness the completion of the orphanage along with the furnishing of the rooms. The classrooms got furnished with school desks. The orphans no longer have to sleep on the hard cold concrete floor, the bunk beds have arrived. The kitchen has been brought up to date with modern cooking items that fit the cooking style of the people in this region. Lastly, more and more children are becoming a part of the orphanage. As new milestones get hit we will keep you all informed as to whats happening at the orphanage.
